At paws4peopleTM, Inc., protecting the privacy and confidentiality of “non-public personal information” [NPPI] is important to us. This philosophy extends
throughout and applies to the activities of all of our affiliate organizations:
the paws4peopleTM foundation, the paws4peopleTM foundation of P4P is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your NPPI. This privacy policy describes the NPPI that is collects; how it is managed; and, the circumstances under which it is used, and who may use it. P4P may share information with and between affiliate organizations in order to provide you with information, notification of new or additional services, and/or activities in which P4P is involved. P4P does not disclose, except as required by law, NPPI, i.e., personal identifying and transactional information collected during “normal and customary” fundraising activities, as well as our Internet fundraising methods, such as Raffles and Auctions. P4P does not RELEASE, SHARE, RENT, or SELL NPPI to any outside or third party organization or company. All NPPI is maintained and diligently protected at all times. By providing any/all requested NPPI to this website, you agree and consent that we may collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not provide any NPPI. Failure to provide any/all requested NPPI may prevent P4P from offering you the services and/or programs you request. What information do we collect? (1) Personally identifying information P4P collects personally identifying information about raffle participants for such purposes as processing your raffle ticket request, contacting winners or otherwise responding to your customer service requests, as well as to establish, maintain and manage our relationship with you. P4P generally collects your personal information directly from you and only with your consent. In addition, P4P does not collect or use personal information about you from a third party without your consent. The information P4P collects is the minimum amount needed to fulfill your ticket request and to otherwise perform the services in connection with our raffle. This includes: contact and identification information, such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, financial information such as your payment methods, billing and banking information (credit card account information, in order to process your ticket request); for online financial transactions, we process standard credit card information via a secure, 128-bit encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) session. SSL is the proven standard for secure web transactions. (2) Website generated information: "cookies" In order to improve P4P sites on an ongoing basis, P4P uses cookies to track your visit. P4P also uses cookies to provide users with certain features and access. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server and can only be read by the website that gave it to you. It functions as your identification card. It is not a program and cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. P4P does not report on individual user sessions. Cookies can also customize the site to your particular interests or store your personal information, such as passwords or user IDs. As explained above, P4P uses your personal information for fundraising, to process donations, to respond to requests for services and information, and to keep you informed about our activities. Your personal information is used by authorized employees, and/or volunteers to process your raffle ticket requests, and to establish, manage and maintain our relationship with you. Accuracy of Information The accuracy of information collected by P4P is dependent upon the accuracy of the information provided. P4P aims to maintain and protect information provided that is accurate, complete, and current as required for the purposes for which the information is used. Retention of Personal Information P4P keeps personal information only as long as it is required for the reasons it was collected. The length of time P4P retains information varies, depending on the program, service or event and the nature of the information. The retention period may extend beyond your relationship with P4P. When your personal information is no longer required the information is either physically destroyed or deleted. Links to Other Websites P4P provides links to other websites which may be of interest to you. P4P has no control over the website or the content on any such website for which a link may be provided. P4P may update or delete any link for a website as P4P deems appropriate. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. P4P encourages you to read the privacy statements of each and every website that requests personal information from you. About Children P4P is concerned about the safety of children when they use the Internet. This site is not intended for children. To participate in any of the raffles on this site, you need to be the minimum legal age for charitable gaming in your State, Province, or Country. All content on this website is related to the CharityRaffles.orgTM Raffles, its charitable activities and their non-profit, charitable, educational or religious organizations that may participate in the raffles. P4P is committed to the identification and elimination of information that is determined to be unsuitable for children's viewing. Pursuant to the Children's Online Protection Act of 1998, P4P will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. |
